Gaming performance
What are 1% lows?
A 1% low is a summary intended to describe slower frames, but tools use different calculation methods.
QUICK EXPLANATION
Treat it as a comparison, not a universal score
A low value can point to frame-time dips that an average FPS hides. Check whether the tool reports a percentile, an average of the slowest frames or another metric.
Results depend on the capture window, scene and calculation method.
Result: Comparisons are most useful when the same tool, capture duration and repeatable game scene are used.
How to check it
Keep the average FPS and frame-time graph alongside the 1% low. Avoid comparing numbers from different benchmark tools as if they were defined identically.
Check: Repeat the same capture and confirm the result is consistent before drawing a conclusion.
