Graphics hardware
What is Resizable BAR?
Resizable BAR is a PCI Express capability that can let a compatible processor access a larger portion of graphics memory at once.
QUICK EXPLANATION
Check compatibility before changing firmware settings
Support depends on the processor, motherboard firmware, graphics card and driver. Its performance effect varies by game; it is not a guaranteed FPS boost.
Enabling the option in firmware without checking platform requirements can affect boot or compatibility.
Result: The graphics vendor's software or system information may report whether the feature is active.
How to check it
Check the PC or motherboard maker's instructions and the graphics vendor's compatibility list first. Do not change UEFI settings on a managed or unfamiliar system without support.
Check: After any supported change, confirm Windows boots normally and the GPU software reports the expected state.
