Gaming responsiveness
Why can high FPS still feel laggy?
High average FPS can coexist with input latency, uneven frame pacing, network delay or display issues.
QUICK EXPLANATION
Identify whether the delay is local, visual or network-related
Input-to-display latency is different from network ping. A high FPS counter does not measure mouse, render-queue, display or server delay.
Use a measurement or symptom that matches the kind of lag you notice.
Result: A local camera response issue and delayed online actions can have different causes.
How to check it
Test an offline scene to separate local responsiveness from network behavior. Check frame-time consistency and the game's supported latency tools before changing multiple settings.
Check: Repeat the same action offline and online and note whether the delay is consistent.
