Hanki Tools documentation

How to install and use Hanki Tools, the source-available Windows 11 toolkit, free for noncommercial use: Fix my PC, Tune my PC, Recovery, privacy and known limits.

Hanki Tools is a Windows 11 app for understanding your PC, investigating problems and tuning performance. It reads Windows' own evidence, explains results in plain language and changes nothing until you approve a change. Supported changes are recorded so you can undo them.

Two ways in

The app has two areas that share one Recovery and one History.

What makes Hanki different

  • See before you change. Scans and checks are read-only. Every supported change shows a review first and only runs after you approve it.
  • A way back. Supported setting changes are saved in Recovery before they happen, and removals keep a Recycle Bin or .reg backup where possible.
  • No placebo tweaks. Hanki won't disable Defender, change timers or boot settings, switch off services in bulk or purge memory. "No change needed" is a valid answer.
  • Local by default. No app analytics, crash uploads, background updater or automatic report upload. Network features run only when you start them.
  • Honest limits. A finding is a lead to investigate, not a guaranteed diagnosis, and a passing check does not prove a PC is healthy.
