Interface languages

Hanki's interface is available in 12 languages. How to choose one, what is translated, and what still appears in English.

Since 0.19.0-rc.3, Hanki's interface is available in English, Finnish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese.

Choose a language

  1. Choose Language at the bottom of the sidebar. The option keeps the English word "Language" next to the translation, so you can always find it.
  2. Pick a language by its native name, or Use Windows language to follow Windows.
  3. Restart Hanki. The change applies on the next launch, so a running scan or repair isn't interrupted.

On first launch, Hanki follows the Windows display language. Unsupported languages, including Traditional Chinese, fall back to English. Regional date and number formats follow Windows, whatever the app language.

What's translated

Navigation, page introductions, Home and tuning choices, tabs, main actions, common report controls and search are translated. English search terms keep working.

Detailed diagnostic reports, repair explanations, guided troubleshooting steps and some secondary screens still appear in English. Windows commands, evidence, app names and paths are never translated. Native-speaker review of the translations is still pending.
