Assistant, remote help and support
Redact a report before sharing, optionally ask OpenAI with your own API key, get remote help through Quick Assist, and report problems.
Assistant
The Assistant helps you share a report safely. Many tools can send their report to it.
- Prepare / redact: mask common patterns of private details before you share. Redaction is not complete, so read the result.
- In-app AI (optional): ask OpenAI to explain the report, using your own API key and billing. You review the exact request before it's sent.
- The API key and chat stay in memory for the session and are not written to a Hanki file.
- The request goes to
api.openai.comwithstore=falserequested, which is not a zero-retention guarantee. Cancelling can't guarantee the provider stops processing or charging. - AI never runs commands or repairs. Only Hanki's own reviewed workflow can change anything.
- Open ChatGPT opens chatgpt.com in your browser without the report; pasting it there is up to you.
Remote help with Quick Assist
From Help, Hanki opens Windows' own Quick Assist (or its Microsoft Store page if it isn't installed) after a clear scam warning. Only connect with someone you trust: they can see your screen, and control it if you allow. The session runs through Microsoft's service; Hanki doesn't join, record or relay it.
Report a problem
Open an issue on GitHub or ask on Discord. Include the Hanki version (from About & privacy), your Windows version, the tool, the exact steps and the redacted error text. Don't include API keys, private logs or dumps. For security issues, follow the security policy. You can also email hello@hanki.tools.
